Prayer Walking

You will be joining our team here in Italy with the intent of helping us start new relationships and make new disciples.  Because you do not have an existing set of relationships among people here, you will want to start your time in the field walking and praying, asking God for direction and help to know where he is already working among people.  This is a tool from Field 1 of the Four Fields.

Discussion questions for your team meeting

• What are you thankful for since the last lesson?  What has been difficult or frustrating?  Were you able to finish your assignments from the last lesson?
• Why do you think it is important to walk and pray with your eyes open?
• How can prayer walking help in starting new connections?
• How can you use prayer walking when you come to Italy?
• How can you use prayer walking at home?

Group Practice

Within your team meeting, break up into small groups of 2 or 3 and make a plan to go prayer walking before the next team meeting.  Set a date and a time and pick an area of town that you believe God wants to work within.  Be sure to pray out loud with one another.

Lesson Homework

• Watch the prayer walking video and take an individual prayer walk on your own through your neighborhood before your team meeting.
• Teach at least one other person who is not part of your team to go prayer walking and take them on a prayer walk with you.
