Discipleship Training Lessons

Great news – you have someone who has heard a Gospel message and says that they believe it.  We consider these people to be Green Lights and now you are ready to take the next steps with them to help them understand what Jesus said to do.  Like Discovery Bible Studies with Yellow Lights, this may be a process that you will only be able to start, and will hand off to our team on the ground here in Italy, but we will look forward to seeing how God wants to use them going forward.

Discussion questions for your team meeting

• What are you thankful for since the last lesson?  What has been difficult or frustrating?  Were you able to finish your assignments from the last lesson?
• What is the primary differences in studies for a Green Light person vs. a Yellow Light?
• What do you believe is the most important part of the study for a Green Light person?
• What is the first step with a Green Light person before starting to meet to study the Commands of Christ?

Group Practice

Get together in groups of 4-5 people within your team.  Pick one of the stories from the Green Light Studies, also known as the Commands of Christ list and follow the list of questions from the video to use in your study.  You can see the Green Light studies in this document:

Lesson Homework

If possible, and if they are a Green Light, invite your new Muslim friend to read through the Commands of Christ with you.  If possible, create a small group to read and discuss the stories together.If you do not have a Green Light friend, meet together with 2-3 people outside of your team who are also followers of Jesus.  Read one of the Commands of Christ together with them and lead the group using the Discovery Bible Study process.
